Route description - from Hriňová - Slanec to Mangútovo

For cars without the permission since 2011 there is a driving ban for this road!

In Hriňová, get to the crossing where you COULD turn to Brezno. But DON'T. Instead take the next turn right, to the part of Hriňová called "Slanec".

By foot it takes approximately one and a half hour (around 9 km) from this point to the retreat place. The forest road leading to the mountains is quite impressive, you may see some deers, a fox, and a bear rarely - don't forget to tell them a mantra ;-) Driving a non-offroad car here pumps some adrenaline through your veins :-) The road is not quite good at the ending part but we will work on it. To this points all the cars managed to get there. In case of strong raining (or snowfall during the winter) the road capacity can get a bit worse.

Take a turn right to get on the side road

In the forest take a turn right

You will pass a small concrete bridge here

If your cars' gear is rather low, you may hear some scratch sounds coming from your exhaust. That's a good sign, move on! :-)

Now on the right side you may see a meadow with a shepherds' hut

When you come to this sign turn left while ignoring another sign saying "No Entering!" :-) Just move on :-)

You'll get to a yellow sign saying "Súkromný pozemok" (means "private property") and you know it's the right time to turn left to the deep forest .... :-)

And if you find these buildings and some hard-working yogis, you know you made it there! :-)
