Jamgön Kongtrul Rinpoche

Jamgön Kongtrul Mingyur Drakpa Senge was born in 1995 in Nepal as the son of the great Karma Kagyu master Beru Khyentse Rinpoche. In 1996, the 17th Karmapa Thaye Dorje recognised him as the 4th incarnation of the great Jamgön Kongtrul Lodrö Thaye—a 19th century meditation master and scholar whose legacy persists in all lineages of Tibetan Buddhism. In 2016, the 17th Karmapa Thaye Dorje offered Rinpoche the red crown, symbolizing that he is a master of Buddha activity and holder of the Karma Kagyu lineage
